Back To Vidyya The Water Cure: Bad Medicine Or Miracle?

Doctor Provides Tangible Scientific Evidence On The Amazing Medicinal Value Of Water

Occasionally, Vidyya comes across an item of controversy that seems like something in which our readers might have an interest. This is the case with http://www.watercure.com, where according to F. Batmanghelidj, MD, the cause of much pain and suffering is dehydration. According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, dehydration is at the root of a host of conditions from hypertension to lupus. Fact or fiction? We at Vidyya don't know, but we thought our readers might like to make up their own minds.

Many are willing to believe in the water cure. Dr. Batmanghelidj is the authour of two widely-circulated books in alternative circles, 'Your Body's Many Cries for Water' and the newly released 'ABC of Asthma, Allergies and Lupus'. In these books, research on the dramatic preventative and curative effects of increased water intake is imparted to readers. To date, what has now been coined "The Water Cure" has hundreds of thousands of patientes that say the cure has improved their health and their ability to overcome challenging diseases.

According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, "The body is 75% water and the brain is 85% water, yet few people replace it adequately or consistently." He adds, "Americans consume coffee and soft drinks when they are thirsty, yet these fluids cause further dehydration. This water shortage in the body will manifest in a variety symptoms, signals and complications now labeled as diseases."

Dr. Batmanghelidj first realized the importance of water as a political prisoner in his native Iran. He found that he was able to treat the pain of a fellow prisoner's peptic ulcer with water. He subsequently treated 3,000 more ulcer sufferers -- his findings on the medical efficacy of water were published in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology (as a book review) and the New York Times "Science Watch."

Other points from Dr. Batmanghelidj:

  • How chronic, unintentional dehydration is the root cause of myriad diseases.

  • How to treat disease and eliminate pain including; heartburn, back pain, arthritis, migraine headaches naturally!

  • Testimonials from physicians and lay people on astounding recoveries from increased water intake.

  • How SALT can be used as a medication.

  • Why so called "bad" cholesterol is actually a life saving element of the body.
Vidyya readers interested in learning more may call Jill Mangino at Circle 3 Media (619) 222-2162. Ms. Mangino will arrange for you to speak with people who have tried the 'Water Cure' and individuals from Dr. Batmanghelidj's organization. Vidyya does not endorse or suggest the water cure for anyone. We are providing this information as part of our news service and this article should be read as a news item only.
