Today's Vidyya examines the sexually transmitted disease, Chlamydia. Although infection rates for the disease are high, less than one third of practitioner's test their at risk populations. Last year, an easy to use test that can screen for Chlamydia trachomatis in urine was approved by the FDA. This test enables clinicians to screen for the infection without having to take a genital swab.
