Welcome to the inaugural issue of Vidyyasm, a medical news service that we hope will become a valuable resource to you as you work in the health care field.
It is our goal to provide you with up-to-date information from a variety of places--even those you may not have considered in your day-to-day work life. From current medical journals, clinical conferences and university libraries to consumer Web sites and popular television media, we hope to cover health care in new, interesting and exciting ways. Additionally, with our soon to be unveiled Ex Libris library service, we endeavor to bring you the best of the free Web, without commercialization, without banner ads and without a fee.
Occasionally, we will ask you for your opinion or for feedback to make our service better. You can be rest assured that your privacy will be protected and that your information will never be sold, traded, exchanged or otherwise disseminated to third parties.
Our first installment is just a sample of the high quality information you can expect from us. We've included information from such organizations as the FDA, CDC, NIH and publications like The Journal of the American Medical Association and The New England Journal of Medicine. What's even better is that we've cut the fluff out of the information so you can read it and move on with your busy day.
Please subscribe to Vidyya. We produce the newsletter in four formats. You can receive a daily HTML version, a daily ASCII text version or you can receive a full week's worth of newsletters in either HTML or ASCII digest form.
Thank you for taking the time to explore our publication. We look forward to providing you with information on a daily basis.
