Arsenic Trioxide - Ascorbic Acid: Promising Treatment Strategy For Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
A report published in the British Journal of Haematology demonstrated enhanced killing effects against leukemia cells isolated from patients with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) when treated with a combination of arsenic trioxide and ascorbic acid. The authors concluded that additional studies on the combination of arsenic trioxide and ascorbic acid are warranted. more

MicroMed DeBakey VAD Granted Pivotal Trial Approval By FDA
MicroMed Technology, Inc. today announced it has received conditional approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin its pivotal multi-center clinical study of the MicroMed DeBakey Ventricular Assist Device (VAD). The clinical trial will take place at approximately 20 sites with an estimated 178 treated and control subjects. more
