New research findings demonstrate that recombinant human keratinocyte growth factor (rHuKGF) can effectively reduce the duration of severe mucositis-inflammation of mucous membranes in the mouth and throat -- for people undergoing certain cancer therapies. Brain Tumors Respond To Thalidomide And Radiation Therapy
The drug thalidomide, blamed for birth defects 40 years ago, now shows promise in treating malignant brain tumors in combination with radiation therapy, a Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) study shows.
