Women with a prior cesarean section, who undergo labor for their second child, are at increased risk of a rupture of the uterus, compared with women who elect another cesarean section birth. Medical Marijuana Not As Effective As Advocates Hope
Cannabis has some medical benefits, but may not be the panacea that its advocates claim. Researchers have looked at trials using three different cannabinoids - extracts from the drug - to see how they work in different circumstances. Results are mixed and cannabinoids were found to be better than conventional drugs for treating sickness caused by chemotherapy. But they were no more effective than codeine for controlling acute pain relief. more

vCJD Test Could Cause Drop In Blood Donations
There are fears that the number of blood donors in the UK could drop by as much as half when a test for the human form of mad cow disease is introduced. The National Blood Service fears there could be a drop of around 50% in the amount of blood in blood banks as people grow afraid about being subjected to the test.
