The Energy Drink Red Bull Under Investigation In Three Deaths
The energy drink Red Bull is under investigation in Sweden after reports at least three people died after drinking it. The Swedish National Food Administration (NFA) is heading the investigation, and has issued a public warning, telling people not to take Red Bull mixed with alcohol, or after heavy exercise. Red Bull contains an extremely high amount of caffiene and trace amounts of taurine. more

UK Men Committing Suicide At Greater Rates
An increasing number of men are committing suicide even though they have much better mental health than women. But mental health experts say this could be because men unlike women are too embarrassed to ask for help with their problems. An Office for National Statistics report, entitled Social Focus on Men, revealed that the suicide rate for men aged 15 to 24 had more than doubled to 16 per 100,000 of the population since 1971. And in the 25 to 44 age group the number of suicides grew to a record high of 26 per 100,000. more

300 Million Condoms Imported By Kenya To Halt Spread Of HIV
The Kenyan government has set out a national policy on condoms, as it prepares to import 300 million of them as part of the HIV/AIDS control campaign. Kenneth Chebet, Director of the National AIDS Control Program, was quoted on Wednesday by local newspapers as saying the government is developing a condom strategy to reduce HIV infection among the 15-25 age group by 30 percent in the next four years. more
