ACC/AHA - Information for Heart Attack Patients
The tool kit consists of seven pieces--four of which are featured in today's issue of Vidyya. The tools
are based on the ACC/AHA Guidelines for Management of Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction. Templates were
developed by a project team in collaboration with the guideline committee and provided to participating hospitals. The hospitals
were given the freedom to select which tools they would use and the flexibility to customize the tools to accommodate the
unique conditions at their institutions. The ACC/AHA encourages physicians to try these tools in their hospitals. Try this patient
information tool in pdf format from the ACC/AHA. more

Tools For Physicians: Template AMI Orders
This standard order template is based on the ACC/AHA Guidelines for the Management of Patients
With Acute Myocardial Infarction and is intended to capture key elements of care for an AMI patient as recommended in the
guideline. It is not intended to be as exhaustive and detailed as it would need to be in order to be used in practice. It is not
intended to be used “as is” but is intended to be modified for implementation at your institution. It is expected that you will need
to add a considerable amount of detail in order to make this template into a fully functional standard order. more
